CURRENT MISSION

After 6 years of living in SE Asia I'm the happy mother of a beautiful boy. He just turned two and I've returned to the Pacific Northwest to spend some time with my family. I spent the last several years living in Taiwan and helping orphan and impoverished children in SE Asia. I have used my design skills to do fund raising for orphanages in Cambodia and taught arts and crafts to young children in rural India. I love all things creative and try to use my passions to help inspire and teach children. So blessed to have a wonderful son now who makes every day a joy.

ABOUT ME

I'm silly, creative, kind and passionate. I grew up in Oregon, spent the last 6 years traveling in SE Asia and am now back in Washington state. I am an artist at heart, an animal lover, and a vegetarian who is passionate about organic farming, mushrooms and using good nutrition to heal ourselves. Vipassana meditation helped me completely change my life. Instead of being driven to work for money, now my drive is to help children, share art in a way that makes a difference in people's lives, heal the earth, spread love and compassion and explore the world! I love being a mother and am always striving to make the world a more loving place for my son to grow up in.

I'm a vegetarian/vegan mama. I'm passionate about gardening, vegan cooking, love nature and all things creative. I'm passionate about stopping nuclear power and nuclear weapons. I'm a passionate feminist, peace activist and mother. Love to meet other moms to care about healthy eating, sustainable living, community and alternative education. I'm passionate about animal rights and animal rescue. I've done quite a bit of cat trap, neuter release and am always happy to help foster a needy kitty.

I love to travel, do art and help children. I work doing freelance graphic design and web design so that I can work from anywhere. I like to meet with other creative and passionate people to collaborate on artistic projects, go hiking, swimming, organize a fundraiser for kids, or just get together with kids and enjoy some good vegan food.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The most amazing moments of my life include:

The first time one of the little girls at Harmony Home AIDS orphanage in Taipei recognized me and came running up to me with open arms and the biggest smile.

The evening I came back from the market and the young girl Rose at BCI orphanage had taken the 4 string bracket design that I showed her in the morning...and made me a bracelet out of 20 strings. I still have it on my ankle 8 months later.

The week I spent with my great aunt when I was 11 years old, and we painted every day from sunrise to sunset. She inspired me to believe that creative expression is more than just a hobby and can be a way of life and a way to make a living.

And every day since I awakened after my 10 day Vipassana meditation course...I have been more present and more happy than I can remember. Each day can and should be the best of our lives.
