ABOUT ME

We live in a three bedroom house in the Scarritt Point neighborhood of Kansas City, MO. We grew up twelve minutes apart and went to the same college for four years, and then finally actually met each other a year later. We love to explore new hobbies, places, personalities, topics, and things in general. We are big kids who have no trouble being goofy and irresponsible, but kind of struggle doing grown-up things sometimes. (How do taxes work?)

We have a dog, Bruiser, who is possibly too friendly. (If you don't like being licked or playing tug-of-war, we might have to find somewhere else for him to stay while you surf with us.)

We visit our families a lot, so some weekends we may be unavailable to host, but when we're here in KC we're more than happy to give you a place to stay! If you'd like more involved hosts, we'd also be happy to do meals together, show you around, etc.

We spent 14 months traveling on a shoestring budget around Australia, New Zealand, and Fiji.

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Aaron is an avid outdoorsman. He can teach you how to fish and hunt (assuming you can get the proper licenses and we can find time to get out of the city) as well as useful camping skills. If it's the right time of year he can teach you to forage for wild edibles.

Megan is great with grammar and can give you some pointers on the English language. She loves crafts and can share some tips.

We love to learn about other cultures and places. Megan has been learning Spanish using Duolingo. Aaron has been using the internet to learn about building and fixing computers.

We can share our home, our knowledge of Kansas City and the surrounding areas, and perhaps a meal and drinks if we're not feeling to lazy to cook.

We usually try to give back a little to our hosts. This may come in the form of a meal, a round or two on us, or a small gift.

We enjoy chatting with our hosts and swapping travel stories.
