About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be well, do good work, and keep in touch.

ABOUT ME

Just finished my master's in Italian Renaissance art history at Syracuse University's campus in Florence. Looking forward to doing tons more fun things now that I'm no longer living the life of a grad student. I'm a pretty laid back and silly California girl. I love the sunshine and try to do lots of outdoorsy stuff when the weather permits here in Florence. I'm a super curious person so I'm always wanting to learn new things....especially if it involves cooking.

PHILOSOPHY

"This is water."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am totally new to couch surfing, so hopefully I'll have some fun experiences in the year to come.

Interests

Music keeps me going, so that's definitely a huge interest of mine. Some personal favorites include: Thelonious Monk, The Smiths, Dusty Springfield, Otis Redding, The Rolling Stones, Love, The Black Lips and Belle and Sebastian. I also love being in nature. I'm not super duper athletic, so you won't see me doing any running, but I do go on walks and hikes quite frequently. Food is another obsession. I love love love to cook.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Anything by Fellini or Altman. Wayne's World is always funny.
Music: See above.
Books: Slowly working my way through everything by David Foster Wallace.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to visit the Sistine Chapel once when it was closed to the public. Definitely one of the perks of being an art historian.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've studied Italian art history (Renaissance and 20th-century) for the past five years so I'd be happy to take a stroll through Florence with someone who'd like to learn a little bit about some of the city's treasures.

Countries I’ve Visited

England, France, Germany, Ireland, Spain, Sweden

Countries I’ve Lived In

Italy
