Hi all! I'm currently living in Chalkida, Greece, where I'm working as a writer for an international NGO as well as volunteering in a nearby refugee camp. Back in the U.S. I work regularly as a professor of writing for undergraduate and graduate students, and have my MFA in Creative Writing & Poetics from Naropa University in Boulder, CO, where I usually call home. I've also lived and worked in NYC.

I love traveling, meeting new people, seeing new things, and learning about new cultures. A few years ago I completed a bucket list trip backpacking through all of Central America, and now am enjoying going deeper and staying in one place for a while -- I've been in Greece for 3 months, with 2 more to go.

Most of all, I like going to new places and telling those stories, as well as meeting new people and hearing theirs!

I wanted a way to experience new places alongside locals, and to meet new people in cities where I didn't already know anyone. Right now I'm only surfing, not hosting, but once I'm settled again we'll see! I'm excited to meet new people and explore the world in a different way through awesome hosts!

Watched the sun set over a secluded temple at Tikal and walked back through the jungle at night with my traveling buddies.
