ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Jinghong Zhang, you can call me Megan which easily to remember. I'm native Beijinger, born in Beijing, grown up in Beijing, studied in Beijing and worked in Beijing.

I graduated from Peking University and my major is International Relationship, I guess this is one of reason for my interest in other culture and traveling a lot in the world.

In previous 10 years, I worked in an Advertising agency in Beijing, and travelled almost all the countries in South East Asia and some European countries, like Italy, Spain and Austria.

I decided to quit my job and take one year to travel across asia by land, because the culture and religion is so different in each country.

I met lots of different people on the road, including other tourists and local people, we talked, shared food, stories and also sunshine. I also invited to have dinner or staying in local families, that's really fantastic experience, good way to know the more about the local culture and life, and we became good friends, even one of their families after that.

PHILOSOPHY

Making someone smile is probably one of the best feeling.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I stayed in local families, I'd like to know more about their culture and local life, and I realized they also want to know about China, they want to know more about me, my family, my life in China. So I showed them my pictures in China, told them about my family, my work and Chinese culture. I also very happy to cook some simple chinese food and sharing with them. I am interested in other culture, and I am also proud to Chinese culture and want to introduce it to more people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Actually I am new beginner in couch surfing, but I tried lots of times to stay in local families in my travel. I had many great experience and memories from it. That's why I decide to start my couch surfing from now.
