I'm currently on a break from college working through living some life again. I enjoy going to comedy shows, day hiking, bicycling (road or trail), volunteering at local events for free admission, and working on self improvement and mindfulness. I have a well-behaved turtle who stays in her tank. I am located just down the road from the Short North, which is the bar and arts district of Columbus. I'm not a club-person, but if you are I can point you to the popular places and fun themed bars.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I couchsurfed before as a visitor with a group of friends in Siesta Key, Florida in 2013. We had a phenomenal experience with our host. I'm a bit more settled in life and not in school. I'd like to fill this all out, dip my toes into meeting surfers, then eventually accept couchsurfers to pay it forward.

Hiking, volunteering, messaging and catching up with long distance friends, spending time with local friends, my best friend and toddler. I am recently into online dating. What a strange world that is!!!

Music, Movies, and Books

Rock, pop, dubstep, dance, EDM, house, some rap, industrial (no lyrics, just 'Dark Knight' style of music), pretty much everything but most country. "Girl In A Country Song" is definitely an exception.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In recent years, it would have to be horseback riding along the streets and beach on Roatan Island, Honduras. That horse was an amazing animal. I really felt connected in a natural way to that island and the culture of the people, getting to see the houses from the back streets too. The resort had an animal master and he and his 12 year old nephew were my guides. The little boy showed me where he went to school and his best friend's house. It was great to leave the resort, see more beach, roam the streets where real people were, get chased by a dog haha, all on horseback.
Just an amazing 'off road' experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you maybe some intro Spanish, or help with homework. I'd love to learn some sign language or about a culture different from mine. Would like to sit around and chat about our travels, or go to a bar. There are also a lot of events and festivals that happen around the city I can bring you to if any are happening.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Snacks! Or going out to the fantastically amazing (cheap!) restaurants in the Short North less than a mile from me.
I have an air mattress. You would be on the floor in my room or the living room, sheets, pillows, towel, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, shower, sunscreen, probably extra toothbrush. I share the bathroom with a male roommate. The fridge and pantry food is not shared between my roommates but I will show you which areas of food are mine to share with you. We each clean our own dishes. If you can cook for us from my ingredients, that would be great. I mostly do microwave meals or veggies and rice for myself, not into cooking.
I will not be sharing my house key. You will have to be out of the house while I'm at work, or otherwise not home, thank you for your understanding.

Also I am totally ok with a host or surfer where the bed and home are just a place to crash and leave. No worries 👍
