Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have only created a profile, starting now!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am just barely signing up for CouchSurfing. I have yet to surf, or to host, but have heard incredible things from friends and fellow travelers! I look forward to starting.

Interests

The past four years of my life have been dedicated to school, work (saving money for this trip) and having "the college experience." I now plan to travel and work/ volunteer for the next two years before going back to the states. I am interested in meeting new people, cultures etc. and really broadening my horizons. I enjoy both getting the experience of the culture as well as seeing all of the sights, museums etc. (tourist stuff) when traveling. I love music, seeing live shows, hiking, surfing, snowboarding, snorkling, boating etc.! All things outdoors are great for me!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Pulp Fiction, Almost Famous, Across the Universe, Dazed and Confused etc.
Music: The list would seriously take up a million pages... but some of my favs are Incubus, Brand new, Atmosphere, Black keys, Arctic Monkeys, Living Legends, Rolling Stones, Beatles, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Mac Dre, Snoop dog, Hole, Nico Vega etc.
Books: I do love all things Chuck Palahniuk, Jack Keruoac, as well as the classics: Perks of being a wallflower, great gatsby, and cheesy murder mysteries of course!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ilha Grande, Brazil: Absolute Paradise! An island with no roads, just beach! I had an incredible experience exploring the island with a bunch of friends on an overnight boat trip. We saw so many beautiful beaches! The guys on the boat speer fished to catch us our dinner, and cooked it right there on the boat. About 20 of us total spent the night on the boat in a secret cove on the island, absolutely INCREDIBLE!
Carnaval in Rio De Janeiro: Definitely a onc in a life time experience. The blocos were something else, with everyone in festive, extremely elaborate costumes following around floats with samba music. It was a great way to experience the Samba culture and to see what all the fus of Carnaval was all about. Meeting the "cariocas" was so fun, I couldn´t believe how nice and welcoming they were. All in all, it was wild and so much fun!
Iguazu Falls, Argentina: Hands down, the most beautiful natural sight I have ever seen. The falls are so much bigger than I had expected, absolutely mind blowing! It was unlike anything I had ever seen and taking our little speed boat right under the falls, getting soaking wet was totally exhilerating! The falls are breath taking, enough said.

I would love to meet anybody who wants to hold an interesting conversation, anyone who has traveled, who can teach me something new!
