CURRENT MISSION

I'm writing a book and traveling the country to get peoples' general feelings and understanding about the word karma. Traveling to 12 cities in under 30 days starting September 8th.

ABOUT ME

Hmm, I'm probably one of the most down to earth, open minded, hard working, self motivated and driven people that you will meet. I'm allergic to laziness and lazy people. Just kidding...maybe, lol! I'm writing a book about karma and am traveling to most of the major cities in America to get the average American's view and understanding of the topic. This material will help me complete my book which I've had rattling around my mind since the summer of 2008.

PHILOSOPHY

Interesting topic. I'm writing a book about karma, but don't consider myself a Buddhist or Hinduist. I'm spiritual now and have had my fair share of monolithic, dogmatic and organized religious experiences. I was baptized Episcopalian. I'm half Italian so my nona made sure I went to plenty of Catholic masses. I just finished a 7 month stint in Buddhism which eventually led me to the place I'm at now...just spiritual.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, currently I will be a traveler and looking to stay at wonderful peoples' houses in the cities I'm travleling to. I'm traveling with a fellow couch surfer named Eric Theisen; username Erocksteady.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'll be traveling from September 8th until the first week of October. Once I return to Chicago I will be getting a new apartment in the city. Once I land I will become a very active host and "pay it forward," if you will. I will definitely open my doors to anyone who wants to visit this great city and help them get around and have the greatest "Chicago experience" that I can help them have.

Interessen

I was voted best athlete in high school and had college scholarship offers to play softball at some major universities. These days though, I couldn't tell you who won the last professional sporting event championships. I love art of all kinds. I LOVE to travel and can't wait to see the world. I love meeting new, cool people who are open minded, kind and willing to help out people when they can. I love reading and learning more about who I am and what my life's purpose on this planet is. I've driven across this country 12 times so far and have stayed in over 75 cities for at least a night. I love to soak up the life and culture of different places.

Paris during the Millennium was out of this world!! There is an energy and love that you feel in the air in that city that is unlike anything you will experience anywhere else in the world.

Karma. More than a cool and hip word found in song titles. We can't speak a word, have a feeling or perform a deed without first having a thought that they originate from. Be careful of the thoughts that you have in your mind. What you think about will come back to you in an equal and opposite reaction. It's the law of cause and effect.
