ABOUT ME

I'm down to earth, easy-going, easily entertained, outgoing, neat & tidy, I love to cook, paint, listen to live music, write poetry, do anything competitive, play some poker, experience something new, or have a philosophical debate. It really doesn't take much to make my day into something special. I love to dance, so I'm always in for a night downtown. I would love to meet some people to jam with & create some improv music or play at an open mic night. I'm the type of person that is ready to learn anything that you are a genuine enthusiast of.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to host for a few people from abroad. I love foreign language & I'm a quick study with a flexible tongue. My favorite kind of people are the ones that truly believe in who they are as a person, but also have the open-minded attitude to be capable of accepting everyone & to improve themselves whenever possible. That's my motto at least... If you can teach me a new skill, a new craft, a new technique, a new outlook, or even a new word, than you are someone I'd like to meet. I cherish everyone for their individualism, & I hope they will cherish me for mine as well! (:

I've stayed with a few people, mostly in Virginia Beach, but I've yet to host anyone.

I'm a great cook & I'm always up to help out around the house or do some yard work in exchange for your generosity. As a person, I love listening to the stories of a person's life & their experiences. I'm a joker, & my humor tends to be laced with a hint of sarcasm, but I'm about as kind-hearted as they come. I've been told that I'm an 'old soul' because despite my age, I've had a lot of life experiences. I've been through the ups & the downs, so I'm not judgmental of anyone's traits, circumstances, or flaws. I try to find the goodness in all people & show them the silver-lining in all things. My goal in life is to not only show, but truly convince everyone how much they matter as an individual. I find my strength in my happiness... If I can have a terrible day, but still joke about it & put a smile on my face, than I feel as though I've won. & that's what I hope to inspire in the people I meet, the power to rise above their tribulations & continue to find even a ray of sun on the darkest of days... Because without laughter, life would be so bland.
