About Me

Namaste everybody, my name is Megha! I am from Bangalore, India.

Between the 23rd of November to the 2nd of December 2017, I will be travelling along the east coast of Queensland, from Brisbane to Cairns. I may be accompanied by a friend if she manages to get her visa ontime.

I am currently studying my Masters in Architecture at RMIT, hence I have been in Australia since the start of the year, and will be here until a while, minus the trips home for family.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I seek to explore the cultural side of places, not just what we see from the outside. I love meeting people on the journey of life. and hearing peoples stories and sharing adventures with them.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Requiem For A Dream, Blood Diamond, Top Gun, The Budapest Hotel, Seven, Shawshank Redemption, What’s eating Gilbert Grape, The Departed, Shutter Island, Blade Runner

Books: Fountainhead by Ayn Rand, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Trilogy, books by Agatha Christie, books by Jeffrey Archer, Kafka By The Shore, books by Sidney Sheldon and a lot more who’s titles I seem to have forgotten

Music: Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Greenday, Eagles, Agam The Band, A R Rahman, Tracy Chapman, Fast and Furious soundtracks and Pop music over the years (I’m basic like that)! Haha...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learnt how to ride my motorbike when I was 17; still pretty proud of myself for that. Scuba dived in the Great Barrier Reef and the Andaman Islands.

Teach, Learn, Share

My mind’s eye is always on the lookout for nature inspired themes to convert into abstract oil paintings. I can teach how to appreciate the small things in life that makes living joyous. I’m a hoarder of friends; and hopefully Couchsurfing adds to my circle (I have more than enough friends said no human ever)

What I Can Share with Hosts

Currently I have two tattoos that narrate a tale of their own. Tattoos are more than just body art to me. I would love to share these stories with travellers and like-minded people and hear about their tattoo tales in return.

My love for easy and simple cooking and experimenting with different ingredients to make up a meal. I can cook up some simple and healthy breakfasts for my host (provided I have the ingredients...teehee)

I’m a story-teller of dreams and aspirations and motivations. Living in Melbourne has made me appreciate the coffee culture, and we could share these stories over coffee and chai maybe?
