Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I don't have good hosting space here in DC but I'd love to meet up with people and show the around. I'd love to meet and stay with couch surfers abroad. Learning from the locals is the best way to experience culture :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, but cannot wait to meet some great people when i travel to Switzerland and Italy in late July 2012!

Interests

Ultimate Frisbee, hiking, biking and spinning and running if I am in the mood. LOVE to travel, meet new people, experience other cultures, try new foods. I am hopelessly addicted to ice cream and will search it out where ever I am.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. When my professors went on strike at the University of Botswana, my friends and I hoped on a bus and went on a wild adventure to Victoria Falls. From bungee jumping over the Falls, to whitewater rafting on the Zambezi River, to meet great travelers on a booze cruise as the sun set on the Zambezi River, it was an unreal 48 hours of pure adventure!

2. I conducted my own research study during senior year of my Georgetown undergrad experience on diarrheal disease in Calcutta, India. Talking to health care providers, walking through the slums, and experiencing the vibrant, chaotic culture of India was an moving, unforgettable experience.
