ABOUT ME

I quit my job so that I could have some new travel adventures. I'm travelling through Europe currently, looking for new places and new adventures. I have no true goal or purpose, just want to enjoy doing something different. I have spent my life working really hard, without really taking time for myself, and now I'm trying to change that.

It all sounds pretty exciting, but to be honest, I'm a pretty big dork! My nerdy side comes out the more you get to know me. :-)

PHILOSOPHY

I guess the closest I come to having a personal philosophy is that I think people should just be grateful and happy with what they have. Make the most out of whatever situation you're in, and you can be a happy person.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now, I'm travelling, so I'm just a surfer. When I get back, I hope to set up my own couch to pay back for the great experiences I've had with other hosts.

Interests

I really love being outdoors, so I will try anything adventurous that I can do outside: camping, hiking, biking, canoeing/kayaking, swimming, snowboarding, rock climbing, etc. I just learned to scuba dive this summer! Music, Movies, and Books

Music: anything and everything!

I don't have time for lots of movies or TV, but I like watching an episode of Dexter or True Blood, and I'll always make time for a Lord of the Rings movie. I generally prefer action or sci-fi/fantasy movies. Mostly, I use my TV to play video games! Assassin's creed, skyrim, and Borderlands are a few that I love.

And I love to curl up with a good book. Like music, I'll read anything and everything. I tend to get into a series mire than just a single book: Julian May's Pliocene Saga and Galactic Milieu trilogy, Goodkind's Sword of Truth, Gabaldon's Outlander, Stephen King's The Dark Tower

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Learning to snowboard in Chamonix, French Alps- snowboarding anywhere else just won't be the same!

My next 'amazing' adventure will be taking a motorcycling trip across Canada, east to west!
