I am on a journey to discover my true passions and set up a few ideas that have been ticking away in the background for some time. I was born and grew up in New Zealand where I studied health science at Massey University. My mother is also a Kiwi but my father is as Irish as they come, so plenty of that rubbed off on me. I recently moved to Sofia to join my partner who works here. Before my move I was lucky enough to make the NZ - Europe journey 4 times (that's a lot of 30hour plane trips!). Since my move I have been even luckier to travel around Europe more. I am learning Spanish as I plan to live in Spain sometime in the future, and also wish to travel around South America.

I am on Couchsurfing to meet new people, provide a cool residence for others to relax in, and expand my network of travelling friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy all kinds of music but have taken a recent liking to Spanish pop music.

I am a die hard Harry Potter fan since I was 11 and there is no shame in it!! The books are very different to the movies but I love both.

I read mostly supernatural fiction novels, and some self improvement books (The 4 hour work week / The 7 habits of highly effective people).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I quit my job, packed my life into 2 bags, and moved to Bulgaria to blaze a new trail.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Our apartment is situated in a good area in Sofia center, nice and close to good restaurants and bars which I have plenty of experience in ;) I'm alright at cards if your into that, I like good chats, I enjoy a wine, or two. I can show you around the city and recommend things to do here. Basically I can share a good time.
