About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Storytelling.

ABOUT ME
I'm a silly lady who writes and sometimes dresses up as a grandma. I love to travel, walk, herd goats, sit in my backyard chatting with friends, read, camp, dance and daydream.

PHILOSOPHY
To be present. To learn from others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can cook breakfast, chat about almost anything (but don't know much about synchronized swimming for e.g) be a relaxed surfer or host, help surfers find their way through the maze of a new place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Met some of my best friends through CS. It's the best way to travel the world. If I can't travel, I can host!

Interests

Writing, comedy, live theatre, animals, vegetarian food, cooking a late breakfast, walking, riding bikes, riding motorbikes, reading, laughing, music, live music, having nothing much to do, people watching, sitting in cafes, meeting new friends, hanging out with old friends...

Music, Movies, and Books

Music
I love so many types of music, where to begin? Currently Ana Tijoux is on high rotation. Listen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiQ7S38nKog

I love Spanish, Italian, Balkin and Portuguez music.
Listen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1hejSyjn760

The last concert I saw was Gillian Welch and David Rawlings. It took me on a nice little journey through the rough gritty world of country music.

Today I am listening to this song, it illustrates my current mood: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQQMOnXQ_hY

Books
Last book I read - Every Day by David Levithan. Really nice read about a person who wakes in a different body each day, a sweet little insight into identity and it's contemporary significance.
Now I am reading The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt.
Films
I love short films and film festivals, the last film i saw on the big screen was Putuparri and the Rainmakers. Sad and beautiful story about the preserving of indigenous tradition.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in the Italian mountains with goats for months on end...

Teach, Learn, Share

I can give advice on your written words, I can help you make simple films, teach new dishes, I can teach you how to play the ukulele, i can teach you english and a bit of Italian.
You can teach me your language, about your home, how to make a new dish, how to play card games; any games in fact...

Above all we can share stories.
