About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find out why the big fish eat the little ones

ABOUT ME

Figured it was time for a profile update! About me, I love travel and though work has taken a front seat the past 2 years, travel is where my heart is. I'm a versatile person and can find fun and humour in almost any situation. I've lived in the US and the UK and have just moved to Amsterdam!

PHILOSOPHY

You will pass out before you die.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing has forever revolutionized my way of travel. I have had nothing but great experiences that enrich my experience in each big city and each little town.

Interests

(Writing 'travel' is sort of redundant here) art, fabulous food and drink (wine in particular), health/nutrition, soccer, current events, political discourse, and mayham!
I like painting--I'm no good at it but you don't have to be good at it to enjoy it!

Music, Movies, and Books

Cliche, I know, but I like almost everything except....country, anything Nickleback-sounding, and elevator music. World music probably gets the most play on my ipod but I listen to FIP (french online radio) often but love a bit of booty-shaking, fist thumping, rocking music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I try to not be overly emotional. However, for one reason or another, when large groups come together for a common cause it just touches me (not in the "when I think about you I touch myself" kinda way). I was at a glorious event. People came in masses for this common cause, all dressed the same and almost all in white. Everyone had the same symbol on their clothing, and some additionally had crosses. Some people wept and some cheered. There were fires all over. No, this glorious event I attended was not a KKK rally, it was in fact the lighting ceremony for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. It really was beautiful.
