About Me

CURRENT MISSION

give people confidence and resources through education and to advocate for equality

ABOUT ME

I honestly want to make a difference in this world. Free-spirited and I believe you get what you give--so I'm working on sending out only good. I am a feminist and passionate about the rights and quality of life of women world-wide. Currently working with under-priveleged adults getting GEDs, and passionate for education and social justice. I fear settling down or getting tied to a place or a job. I just spent a year in Spain and I'm sure I left my heart there. I still have so much to learn and so much to see and that scares me sometimes. Other than that, happy, enjoy sunshine, and all things outdoors.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in living a good life, and loving everyone. I want to see everything and do everything. I want to learn and go to school for the rest of my life. I think everything happens for a reason, and I think it is because God is good.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent this past year living in Europe and had the opportunity to meet so many amazing people through couchsurfing! Staying with people all over Europe gave me the unique opportunity to really get into the local culture. I loved talking with people who had grown up across the globe from me and finding among the differences so many things in common! I think the whole project is such good karma, and a really fabulous way to really know and learn about a new place, with the eyes and opinions of a local. Now that I am back in the states, I'm excited to share my couch with people and return all the favors.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I taught English in Madrid. I can't say I've done anything else as fulfilling as that. I connected with so many people. The job was such a gift, because I learned more from my students about life and culture then they learned from me each and every class! I was really immersed in a beautiful culture, and I consider myself lucky for this incredible experience and the happiness and confidence it gave me.
