About Me
CURRENT MISSION
looking forward to my study of social work and art
learning German and Japanese in the Uni
ABOUT ME
I was born and grew up in China, living in Australia for a few years now. Also, I was volunteering one year in UK after graduation.
I have finished my accounting degree five years ago and did a bit related jobs of it. I found myself not a business person even though I have my own small side business because I like to be more free.
After experiencing in different industries I finally decided to go back to uni to study what I really want to do in life, which is social work and art. I like to work with people especially who needs help and more care. I will learn German as my major as well. Why German? Everybody asks me. Because I went to Germany last year and I have few friends there? Or it's a difficult and logical language? I feel myself need more logical in my heart instead of romantic like French? There is not much reason, just do whatever you like.
As the age increasing, I know clearer what I want in life but my heart is as free as when I was 21 or even younger and fearless.
PHILOSOPHY
Someone asked me about my epitaph before. My answer was that May was happy all the time. Just simple and easy. I would like to enjoy everyday, every moment.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I was firstly couchsurfing when I was a student that allows me to travel in budget and meet a lot of friendly people.
Now I'm going on a new adventure of my life this year so I decided to do something like couchsurfing that I haven't done for many years, to see if I have changed in heart and if I'm still wild deep down.
Interests
I enjoy going solo traveling to explore different countries and cultures. Ideally I would like go traveling one month every year and prefer not going on short term trips. I often go bushwalking in the hill area nearby or go for a walk around. I am lucky to live in a beautiful city Perth, where there are lot of outdoor activities to do.
While staying at home, I like gardening especially succulents. It's such a joy to see the plants grow and they bring up the whole garden. Then I can enjoy a afternoon at the backyard with a cup of tea and a book.
I like handmade craft and making over the furnitures as well. It's more like a mankind job but I really enjoy making something out of my own hands. I have made a set of couch and table out of pallets and some other little stuffs.
When I want to be quiet and chilled, I like to draw and paint, to watch a movie, to do house cleaning.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like country, classic and relaxing music but I listen many other kind of music as well.
Same as movies, I prefer romantic and classic ones.
I read many kind of books depending on what I would like to read at that moment.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have done many unforgettable things in life. The most rewarding thing I have done may be volunteering for a year in UK.
It's not because I "helped" the others but I learnt a lot meanwhile. It partly helped me to make the decision to be a social worker now.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach--I can teach you Chinese, including Mandarin and Cantonese. Anything you are interesting about China, I can tell you as much as I can. And I can show you what's interesting in Australia as well, especially in Western Australia.
Learn--I am interested in the languages and food in the places I visited, then I can experience more culture about the specific places through speaking their languages and tasting their local food.
Share--I guess I can share my fun stories and listen to your experiences traveling other places.
