Hello! My name is Meiling, I am living and working in Shenzhen/China,

I enjoy reading, exercising (yoga, running, trekking), writing and recently developed a crush on coding!

Things that make me what I am today:

Extensive reading.
-- I cannot imagine a life without books. There was a time I was totally burnt inside, reading literally cured my depression.

Experiment with the vegetarian lifestyle.
-- Lasted for 4 years! Even though I did not continue now, such an experiment offered me a pathway to see what I can do with my body. Now I am assured that I have the autonomy of my mind.

Bicycling across 3 cities after I have just learned how to ride the bicycle,
-- It gave me lots of bruise mark to recollect and tons of bravery to move on.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Volunteering in a remote village school as an English teacher,
-- I was proud that I could encourage the kids to chase what they want. And I develop a pure friendship with some of the lovely children, it gave something so sensational I did not even get from my own siblings.

Moreover, I kinda experimented what I have never believed: sheer indifference to materialism, worldly disapprovals, the characteristics of Charles Strickland in the Moon and the Six Pence. It was just amazing!

I have 1 spare double-bed room and 1 wooden sofa to offer.

I have a big balcony, in summer, I will set up a mattress on the balcony to jolly with the stars above.

I have a small kitchen if you need to cook. Pitifully, I am not a good cook as I eat very simply, mostly veggies, so I do not really know how to serve my guests with delicately prepared food. Forgive me on this. :-D
