To continue on the path without determining where I am going.
I guess what i care about is being here, giving it a listen, and embracing it for what it is.
I'm very much into my meditation, have been involved in different spiritual practices and like to use them as an anchor for who I am and where I am today. That being said i wouldn't say i conceptualise or talk a whole lot about these inklings. I just buzz on them.
I'm pretty clear and focused on what I'm doing in life at the moment and so i am just keeping on keeping on.
I sing a lot, like to get performative and love collaborating and creating experiences that allow people grow. I like building community and creating connections. I like helping anyway I can. I travel every few years and find i learn so much from people in other cultures. I've been pretty independant since i was a little one. My mum was an inspiration in that. I can envision now its just actualising it.
So we shall let the reader answer this question for himself: who is the happier man, he who has braved the storm of life and lived or he who has stayed securely on shore and merely existed?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I enjoy the exchange of culture and the sharing of life experience.
Sometimes i just really - cant afford to pay for somewhere to stay!
I am happy to share my space- and life with others and help them out when they are in need.
I surfed in Edinburgh and Valencia. In Edinburgh my host really helped me come to terms with my own insanities. (don't worry I'm safe- at the time fear was really at me). By Valencia i'd done more travel and learning and I felt the 'host' 'guest' roles at play- and really wanted to subvert them or just be done with them all together. I was going through a lot of questioning- criticality. Later back in Oz I stayed with one of the most liberal and ecologically inspiring women (in her 60s) in Adelaide and had a great landing - from the harshness of camping in Central Australia. I felt incredibly grateful. I also hosted a now dear friend who i've played music with and introduced to her now husband.
