ABOUT ME

How do I describe myself? I think someone else could probably do a much better job... but I'm not creepy, I'm fun, easy to get along with (I think), interested in people, in adventure, in learning new things, in being a lifetime student, and meeting you. :)

PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy.... hmmm.... I try most every day to be nice. That sounds sooo lame. But you can go so much farther in almost any aspect of life by just being kind and patient than if you were to act otherwise. Those people on the customer service line who don't speak the same language you do? The middle-aged man working a second job in telemarketing to make extra money for his family? The cashier at the gas station? Your next soon-to-be boss? They will ALL respond better to a smile and genuine courtesy than to attitude and rough-around-the-edges type of behavior. Trust me on this one. You will go far. I live my life with the hopes of being the very best that I can be, and I hope to make a ton of wonderful friends along the way. I'm emotional, but fun-loving, and trusting- sometimes very naively so- but if you take the time to get to know me, it will be worth your efforts.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well, I spent two weeks bouncing around London, being passed from hand to hand, and it was the bestest funnest winningest thing that I have done in a very long time. I would love to have you if you ever happen to be passing through rural farm-country Michigan!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I recently took a trip to London, and I surfed for the first time. It was so much fun! I loved my hosts; they were accomodating, and helpful, and personable, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Hopefully I'll be able to host on my own couch soon. I may not get a lot of traffic through the Lansing area, but I would love to be able to help when I can.

Interests

I love to read and I love to write. I love to take pictures, and I love to go out with good fun people and have a drink and a laugh. I love to travel; I don't do enough of it because I'ma student and I'm poor, but that will change someday, and until it does, I'm going to do the best I can.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love stuff! I love comedy movies. I love all kinds of music. I love love LOVE books. Where would the world be without books??? Well, now that we have a vague beginning, lets get a little more specific. Fav movies: The Whole Nine Yards, Mean Girls, Bridget Jones, A Beautiful Mind, Charlie Wilson's War, Shawshank Redemption (everyone lists this one), Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, Superman Returns, Spidermen 1-3, The Big Lebowsky, etc.... Fav books: Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, Emily Bronte, Kate Chopin. I guess those are authors, huh. But their books are the best.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to be a chicken farmer. Quick tip: don't keep eggs in your pocket. They will get smashed and leak fresh yolk onto your jeans in the middle of Spanish class.
