French, but then no French accent when i speak English or Spanish … that usually is the starting point of any conversation I have with people I meet for the first time … so, to get this one done and over with : English Mother, and have been speaking Spanish since I was 12. It helps.

A foodie. Traveling for me can be just about food. Nothing gets me going like preparing diner for friends. So be prepared for a lot of food (and drink) talk and to chop onions, crush garlic, peel vegetables … I get bossy but there can only be one chef in the (small) kitchen! However if you are a foodie too I would love you to share your signature dish with me !

Recently started Urban sketching and ceramics… both very high on my favorite things to do now (and for a long time to come). You will notice they are not the sporty nor loud type of hobbies. I also walk… a lot. Urban walking for me, I am a city slicker.

Of course traveling has a big role in my life as I go and visit family and friends (Sweden, Japan, France and England on the map this year) but also like to go and explore new horizons… hopefully Couchsurfers visiting me will introduce me to new destinations !

To be honest, I can be wanting my own space and time every now and then and know how to say it graciously but also if necessary quite firmly. I am sure couchsurfers know how to respect people's home, privacy and boundaries.

Love discussing politics, just know that today's politics make my heart sink. I Hate haters … yes it makes sense. We can discuss at length.

I am not a late party goer anymore but can be (easily) persuaded !

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I arrived a year ago in Barcelona from Luxembourg, one of the most international places around too! so it feels very normal to talk different languages in one day to people from all over! Traveling a lot myself I know sometimes you want to be closer to the "real world" rather than just be on tourist mode in a hotel (or here in Barcelona in a rented flat …) . As an expat here I do not pretend to represent Catalan lifestyle, but I like exploring it myself so will be happy to do it with however is interested.
I can be overly active and chatty … but can adapt to any rhythm… siesta is a GREAT Spanish tradition! :)

Moved 7 times, 4 different countries and somehow still buy books (the heavy type with lovely pictures, photos, drawings…. what can i say… ) !
