Overview
About Me
I’m a 19 year old who is currently taking a gap year and traveling with my friend before going off to college this coming fall. If I’m being completely honest, I don’t quite what to expect from this experience (and if it wasn’t already apparent, I have NO idea what I’m doing. Especially since I just made this account a day or two ago), but an excited nevertheless!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To try meeting new people who live in and are part of the area of the places my friend and I are backpacking around.
Interests
The categories I picked below mostly say it all with exception to a few like “Cooking” and “Reading” which I didn’t put down. This is because while I do love both food and the concept of cooking, I don’t do it much and can’t necessarily attest to how good I am at doing so. As for the “Reading” category, I do love it, but got out of the habit of reading books regularly years ago. Recently, I’ve been trying to pick up the habit again, but often forget my book at home.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music taste: mainly variations on rock, and anything else that isn’t American country or disco (of course there are songs in these categories that are exceptions).
Movie taste: action, thriller, comedy, and a little place in my heart for quirky or thought provoking films.
Book taste: similar to my movie taste.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmm... while I have been very lucky to travel with my family and try many different activities, the only thing I can think about right now is what I used to do when I was a baby. According to my family, I was a very interesting kid who learn to walk before I learned to crawl... and before that I used to drag myself across the floor.
While I acknowledge that’s probably not the answer Couchsurfing was going for, I think that’s pretty amazing. Too bad I don’t still have those guns.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: about the perspective of having grown up internationally.
Learn: just about anything and everything you feel comfortable sharing about you and the town you currently live in.
Share: my love for food and sleep
What I Can Share with Hosts
My personal story of being adopted and growing up American in Singapore, along with a willingness to learn more about you and your upbringing (if wanting to, of course. No obligation, but I’m interested in hearing people’s different perspectives).
