About Me

I spent a year+ traveling around the world, but it was slow travel, so while I didn't go to many different countries, I tried to really, fully explore the ones I did go to. Now I'm back home, trying to keep myself busy, but planning the next adventure!

I love the outdoors and I'm always looking to go on hikes or just explore natural scenery. I love meeting new people and trying new things. Always up for music festivals, road trips, deep conversation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love how welcoming the CS community is, and I think this is the best way to meet locals and get recommendations on what to see and do.

When traveling alone CS is a really great way to connect with people and see the way people live, all around the world, rather than just quickly passing through and taking some pictures to prove you were there.

Interests

Some favorite pass times include talking over a cup of coffee, playing music, or going for a hike, paddling around in a kayak/canoe/paddle board (I like to be active, but in a way where I trick myself into it with a fun activity).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Indie and folk music, and various off shoots; Fleet Foxes, This is the Kit, Sufjan Stevens, Laura Marling, The Staves, Alabama Shakes, The Dig, Joanna Newsom, Devendra Banhart, Dirty Projectors, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros

Movies: All kinds, but preferably ones that make you think after they're over. I have a warm spot for films that remind you to appreciate life and any movies involving a road trip or outdoor adventure.

Books: Some of my favorite authors are John Steinbeck, Jack Kerouac, Ursula K. Le Guin, David Mitchell.
