ABOUT ME

I'm from a small town in Nevada, and I left as soon as I could. I love other cultures and travel. I went to school in Washington DC and studied in Nepal and India. After getting a Master's degree I moved to Chile to try something new. My boyfriend and I lived in Valparaiso for 7 months, and have just moved back to the States. We now live in Portland, Oregon, and are excited to explore the beautiful Pacific North West.

PHILOSOPHY

From Michael Ondaatje's book Divisadero: "Everything is biographical, Lucien Freud says. What we make, why it is made, how we draw a dog, who it is we are drawn to, why we cannot forget. Everything is collage, even genetics. There is the hidden presence of others in us, even those we have known briefly. We contain them for the rest of our lives, at every border that we cross."

We are all part of each other's collage.

We are new at Couch Surfing, but so far it has been great. It is such a great opportunity to help our fellow travelers and get to know people from all over the world.

Hiked for 3.5 weeks through Nepal's Mustang region and got to meet the King of Lo Manthang.
