About Me
CURRENT MISSION
ABOUT ME
I'm 34 years old and like most of you on this website, I enjoy traveling and meeting people. The more, the merrier. I used to work at a hostel and met many people from all over the world, but the couch surfers have always had a special place in my heart.
I share a house with my brother Dimitri and a dear friend Ali. We also have a very sweet cat called Tjoeki. Together, we are the four musketeers. My brother is 23 years old and studies to become a classical singer. Ali is 34 years old and is a youthworker. He has a green thumb and cooks delicious food.
PHILOSOPHY
A beautiful message sprayed with grafitti on a wall that basically summed it all up: 'En tiempos de crisis, mantener la sonrisa es un acto revolucionario', which means 'To keep on smiling in times of crisis, is a revolutionary deed!'
~ If you end up with a boring, miserable life because you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest or some guy on the television telling you how to do your shit, you deserve it. ~ Frank Zappa
I would also very much like to be adopted by José Mujica. A girl can dream.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We would like our home to be a cosy and safe spot to meet People from all over the world. Depending on our schedules we can spend time together, have dinner, drinks and talks. We can both hang out and give tips to visit our favourite places in Antwerpen. During the weekend we can make time to show you around the city, too.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Haven't surfed that much yet, but I've hosted some lovely people.
So far couch surfing has brought me to the South of France, Romania and Argentina. I'm keen on exploring more.
Interests
I'm interested in lots of things and very keen on learning about social and political circumstances in other countries. A good discussion with (new) friends over a homecooked meal feels like the perfect way to spend the evening. Even though a night of Netflixing is very tempting, nothing that goes above a good book and a glass of wine/beer.
My dream is to become as self sufficient as possible. It's a work in progress!
