To enjoy life, travel copiously and avoid those pesky responsibilities associated with growing up!
I am a uni student who finds it impossible to stay awake during lectures, so don't really go to uni that much. I'm currently doing an exchange in Aachen, Germany at RWTH. Brilliant university, but lectures in German aren't more interesting than lectures in English to be honest.
But I am loving this year away from Australia. I have also spent 3 months doing an internship in Frankfurt, which was so much fun. I have experienced so many new things that would NEVER EVER happen in Brisbane; this exchange is probably the best thing I have ever done.
I love meeting new people, exploring new places, having adventures, drinking, eating, drinking, going out, having fun and laughing. I am extremely easy going and ALWAYS like trying new things (and new foods).
In short, I am super friendly and easy to get along with :)
Life is ridiculously short - do whatever it takes to make it the BEST and HAPPIEST life possible! But always remember to be a good person along the way.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I am travelling as much as I can, so I will be starting my CS participation mainly as a surfer. That being said, I will definitely host when I get back to Australia. I have only heard about this organisation recently and I think it is a brilliant concept that I can't wait to become fully involved in!
I have couch surfed now 4 times. AND I LOVE IT. It's seriously not about saving money - I would prefer to couch surf than stay in a hostel/hotel ANY DAY.
The people who have hosted my friends and I over the past 6 months have really made the city we were visiting so much more magical (and fun). I love the concept - it renews ones faith in humankind. I can't wait to start hosting some great travellers when I get back home to Brisvegas!
I love meeting new people, exploring new places, having adventures, drinking, eating, drinking, going out, having fun and laughing.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Yet to find many movies that I don't like...
This is England, Suddenly 30, Fight Club, Titanic, Reality Bites, Troy, well, anything with Brad Pitt is good in my books...
Music: A bit of lots of genres...
Coldplay, Phoenix, Cut Copy, Maroon 5, Jason Mraz, Passion Pit, The Strokes, The Decemberists.. and the list could go on forever. But just look through my iPod when we meet if you are really that interested.
Books: I love to read, I find it so relaxing. There are so many great books out there, but here are just a few favourites..
The Girl Most Likely by Rebecca Sparrow, Harry Potter series, Dan Brown's books, A Short History of Nearly Everything (<- I recommend it to everyone!)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
- Being stampeded by an elephant whilst on safari in South Africa.
- Buried in the warm volcanic sand in a spa on the base of a Japanese volcano
- The view of tiny, snow covered Austrian ski villages from atop of the Alps
