About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Move to Prince Edward Island, Canada and get a rental and a job and research/learn fiddle music on the island for at least 2 years.
ABOUT ME
From Melbourne, worked in construction most of my life, played music for all my life, playing the fiddle quasi-religiously at the moment. Very friendly, house trained, not a weirdo.
I gig a fare bit, playing traditional Australian music (ballads on the guitar, tunes on the fiddle and accordion) and also some Scottish tunes, mostly from Atlantic Canada (mainly PEI, a little Cape Breton stuff).
I have a girlfriend who is studying composition in Rochester NY for the next 2 years and am chasing a dream I've had for a few years of moving to Prince Edward Island (despite knowing literally no one on the island) to learn more fiddle music.
Have worked in carpentry, stone masonry, with cranes, in warehouses, kitchens, pubs, a bottle-o, as a musician, and as a teacher.
Have lived in at least 10 different sharehouses and apartments.
Learning Chinese (mandarin) because my girlfriend, despite being a bogan from the western suburbs, is originally from there and fluent in it.
PHILOSOPHY
Arm the poor soughta thing.
