ABOUT ME
HELLO, I am Anna: traveller, bibliophile, perennial student (now teacher? how did that happen?), and I may have been called a groupie more than once. My rather tomboyish childhood has not escaped me either.
Melburnian at heart who has well and truly adopted the city of Lyon as home.
PHILOSOPHY
Age is but a number.
One teabag goes a long way (3 cups minimum).
No need to make a mountain out of a molehill.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Interests
Cooking (closely followed by eating), languages, word games, music inherited from mama & papa, dogs, cycling, swimming, Scrabble, translating, being in the sun, coming up with gangsta names for people.

Music, Movies, and Books
A peculiar favourite from France
Exercices de Style - Raymond Queneau
Another Anna recently told me about this Hungarian (?) novel about a man who sells objects in exchange for time that sounded really interesting but I can't tell you more just yet as Google is eluding me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lots of people do it, but I'm proud to say I recently hitchhiked home from Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona to Lyon.
5 cars, 10 hours, great people and conversations. A solid reminder of the generosity of strangers.
