ABOUT ME

I'm an American, former expatriate currently residing back in my home state of Michigan. I'm a librarian in training, because I believe in the democratisation of information, and that to much sub-culture history is being ignored (even though it has immense historical significance). I strongly believe in our right to privacy in the United States, and actively lead online/mobile security workshops at the library I work at. I find far to many things interesting, and talk far to much. I love meeting new people, and listening to their stories, and believe to much communication is done over text. Because of that, I'm really crap at filling these things out (and always feel like I come across as a bitch, but I swear, I'm not)!

PHILOSOPHY

I'll never live long enough to do everything that I want to, but I can listen to the experiences and stories of those who I am lucky enough to have in my life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to host, and in the past I was able to! However, I'm currently living with my Mom again, and while I may be able to persuade her to let people stay here, I'd definitely have to get to know you a bit first. As such, I have a much harder time with last minute requests, but I would be happy to show anyone around Lansing (what little there is)!

I love learning. Mostly I love learning from interesting people (rather than classes and whatnot). I am particularly fascinated by languages and cultures (which may be why I love to travel so).
