ABOUT ME
A lot of inspiration can be found in the simple response from the composer John Cage when asked about songwriting, that could be applied to life in general:
"where do you start?". He replied, "Start anywhere. Only start."
PHILOSOPHY
“Have patience with everything unresolved in your heart and to try to love the questions themselves as if they were locked rooms or books written in a very foreign language. Don’t search for the answers, which could not be given to you now, because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps then, someday far in the future, you will gradually, without even noticing it, live your way into the answer.” - Rainer Maria Rilke
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We try to forge small bridges of peace with those who's stories differ from our own. What magic it is to listen to a stranger's story and be able to somehow hear so much of your own.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Melissa spent the summer of 2008 backpacking in Europe and met some of the most wonderful people through CSing! She really loves couchsurfing and has now initiated Ezequiel into the community! We both think that it is a wonderful way of opening up our minds, our hearts, ourselves.
Interests
Music and singing and playing guitar. Reading, cooking therapy, fire spinners, riding bikes, trying new things, wandering and getting lost, laughing so hard it's silent (or awkwardly loud), yoga, felines and most animals that don't bite, performers, mint tea and mate, idealists and dreamers, people who like to share, passion, avocados and achuras
