ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Mélie and I'm from France but I kinda dislike cheese and don't wear any beret ;) (nevertheless, I enjoy drinking good wine !). I'm a blondie but it appears that sometimes in winter my hair like to turn me into a ginger (scientist are studying my case very closely) (true story). I like laughing, kidding around and eating raw green beans. Most of all, I love traveling and discovering new places. Even in my studies, I keep moving from place to place : I've grown in Paris but I studied in Bordeaux (getting closer to the red wine ;) ) and Wiesbaden and know I work in Karlsruhe :)

Hi, I'm Jonathan. This is a difficult exercice without falling in the narcissism :(
I move only in bike. I read as much as my free time allows it, also I write poems and some short stories, unpretentious :) I Practice Vipassana meditation. I like the life to be simple, even hard sometimes. I have a great sense of humor and I always have a ready reply.

Melie : I'm interested in almost everything ! I especially enjoy traveling, discovering new places, watching (foreign) movies, speaking other languages, listening to music and reading books.

Jonathan : I like the athletique strength, the sail, writing, travelling, playing chess, esotericism practises, cooking, and adventure in any way (spiritual or/and physical) :)

Our favorite movies are : Dancer in the Dark, Breaking the Waves, Idioterne, Tarantino's, Juno, Garden State, Forrest Gump, the Truman Show, Maverick, Braveheart and so many more :)

We like almost any kind of music but we especially enjoy listening to bands like : Arcade Fire, Beirut, Sigur Ros, Cocoon, Saez, Vampire Weekend, Cold War Kids, Marvin Gaye, Louis Armstrong, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, Georges Brassens, Boris Vian, Jean Ferrat, Jack Johnson, Radiohead, etc.

Melie : I love authors like Emile Zola, René Barjavel, Daniel Pennac, Hermann Hesse, George Orwell... And I won't list you all the books I enjoyed reading because I would be afraid to bore you :) However, if I could recommend you a book : Replay, by Ken Grimwood.

Jonathan : My sacred books are Also sprach Zarathustra (Nietzsche), Steppenwolf (Hesse), Don Quichotte (Cervantès), L'iliade (Homère), Les chants de Maldoror (Lautréamont), Les fleurs du mal (Baudelaire)
I read everything and I'm interested in many subjects :) I like poetry, philosophy, religion, contemporary and classic literature... I have of good knowledge in religion: Buddhism, the Koran, the Bible, Tao Te King...
I also like Kafka, Tolstoï, Sartre... And more contemporary: René Barjavel, Eric Emmanuel Schmitt, Bernard Werber...
