Overview
About Me
I am a PhD student in earth and planetary sciences. I study the geological context of human evolution, mainly in East Africa. What this really means is I go to archaeological or paleontological sites and figure out what kind of environment was there in the past (river, lake or delta; climate; water sources). I also try to determine the ages of the sediments in order to give dates to the artifacts and fossils found in these sites. I live for music and concerts, I am a runner and I love hiking, and I love every single animal on the face of the earth.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I travel a lot and would so much rather crash on a couch and meet good people than stay in an overpriced hotel or questionable hostel. If I had a place big enough, I'd take people, but I live in a veritable closet.

Music, Movies, and Books
Pretty much all music - it's my religion. I am a late 90s/early 2000s aficionado of music and movies. In terms of books, I favor the classics, but I will read anything.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've gotten on stage with the Dropkick Murphys multiple times. I've also traveled to Kenya, Turkey, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Qatar, Kuwait, Luxembourg, and Lichtenstein. All of these places gave me pretty amazing experiences.
