About Me
Hello! I'm not very good with descriptions of myself but I'll try!
Well, I'm a Brazilian exchange student living in Lyon, France. In Brazil I study Communications in University of Brasília and in France I study the same subject in Université lumiére Lyon 2. I'm currently turning my studies to the audiovisual area in communications. I've already worked with Art Direction for Cinema and Production for television. I even worked as a cameraman (camera woman in my case haha) for a couple of months and as a journalistic reporter too.
It was always my dream to live in other country, travel the world and get out of my confort zone!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'd like to meet new people and get to know other cultures! I'm on vacation now and traveling alone so I figured maybe couchsurfing could be a good idea.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favorite music bands are Arcade Fire and Interpol. I can listen to most kinds of music, but in my playlist there's ALWAYS indie rock, alternative music, pop, and rock in general.
My favorite movie of all time is Persona (Ingmar Bergman, 1966), I've already seen it 8 times and I'm always surprised how good it is. I like movies that awake some kind of deep feeling inside you, that gives you goosebumps, that you can relate with, or that takes you out of your confort zone. Lately I've been watching french movies to practice my french.
When I was younger I was much more of a reader, nowadays I read an average of 5, to 6 books a year. Not very proud of it. The last book I read is (Im)possible Saints - Religion and Gender in the Comtemporary Literature (original in portuguese: Santas (im)possíveis - Religião e Gênero na Literatura Contemporânea). It's a doctorate teses about female saints and the role of the patriarchy in the church and in our society.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a very curious person, so I would love to learn anything that can be offered. I can share my experience living in France as an University student, or as a brazilian woman living in Europe, or my professional experiences I had so far, you choose haha.
I can teach you what I know about Brazil, we are not just the ~sexualized mulatas from rio~ stereotype as the world sees us. We are a gigantic country with lots of different cultures among us!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I like to talk about music, movies, art, feminism and different cultures. I also would be a good company to party, to go night clubs or just drink a beer at the bar!
