About Me
Quote I live by: "You can't afford this fear of being perfect to stop you from creating" - Zach King
Hi! My name is Melissa and I am a college student from the United States, currently studying abroad in Dublin. I love to travel and am trying to travel as much as possible while I am here, especially around Europe. I love to also meet new people and trying new food, especially vegan and vegetarian dishes (I am learning to cook vegan meals currently). I do not smoke or drink, and am not into the party scene, but I am always open to going out to get a good meal or participate in a local event (maybe like a painting class).
Lastly, I am very bad at writing descriptions about myself, as I study at a criminal justice school back home and am never sure how much is too much or too little haha. So if you want to know more about me, feel free to send me a message :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meet new people (hopefully becoming friends) and learn about their home from their experience. This is my first time trying Couchsurfing, so this will bring me outside my comfort zone and I hope to meet a lot of nice people in the places I visit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Choosing to study abroad in Dublin even though everyone kept asking me why and telling me I'll regret it as "its nothing, but drinking". I am glad to report, they are wrong. Dublin is much more than drinking. There are nature trails, fun events held by locals, and amazing galleries. I do not regret my choice.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am a CS student focusing on cybersecurity, so I can teach you some basic coding if you would like or security tips for safe surfing on the web :)
I would love to learn about different culture and recipes. I have recently started cooking vegan / vegetarian meals and would love to learn to cook vegan dishes.
