Overview
About Me
I’ve lived in Sweden all my life, but my mother has both Finnish and Canadian roots, so I’m lucky enough to have triple citizenships. Growing up in a multicultural environment and frequent family traveling to relatives growing up had helped me develop a nonjudgmental and open mindset. I’m always on the lookout for new opportunities to grow, and experience has asked me that one of the best ways to grow is through other people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The best thing I know is getting to know new people, and learning about their cultures and languages. It’s nice traveling, but staying in a hotel and getting your typical pre-packaged tourist experience partly defeats the purpose of travel. Because for me, traveling is about widening my world view through interacting with locals and seeing what everyday life is like for them. Of course I enjoy touristing too, but it’s not as fulfilling on a deeper level.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I started medical school at age 17! Though I took a longer study break after a year :)

What I Can Share with Hosts
I love teaching as much as I love learning! Some things I know a lot about are Sweden and Swedish culture, as that’s where I’ve grown up. I speak Swedish, English, Finnish and Norwegian rather fluently. Also, I adore children and have lots of experience with them as second oldest in a family of eight kids, so I don’t mind babysitting for my hosts. Babysitting also happens to be a great way to learn a language, which is always fun :D
