About Me
Hello fellow Couchsurfers! My name is Melissa. I live in the beautiful state of Washington in the United States. I have a hobby farm and run a ciderhouse, which keeps me busy, but I love it. My passion is travelling... it is what balances me from the hectic rat race of life. I have lived all over the United States, mostly from when I served in the US Navy, but I love travelling to new places and meeting new people. I have backpacked England, France, Germany, Netherlands, Iceland, Scotland, Greece, Italy, Costa Rica, UAE, India, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Japan. I am looking forward to another trip this fall.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I plan to hopefully host CSers soon, but I plan to visit the UK in the fall, and need a place to crash while attending a cider school.
Interests
Cider making, farming, hiking, triathlons, camping.... the list goes on... I'll try anything!
Music, Movies, and Books
Legends of the fall, Kill Bill,... I'm sure there is more... can't think of any right now.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sunsets from an aircraft carrier in the middle of the ocean was pretty cool... also I was in Japan during the 9.0 earthquake, it was crazy but I got to help with relief efforts for Operation Tomodachi which was life changing. During my travels I have been lucky to see amazing things like the Taj Mahal, Ankara Wat, Stonehenge... and many other awesome places.
Teach, Learn, Share
Trust your instincts... you have them for a reason.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I genuinely love getting to know people from different places. I have been lucky to have made life long friends on my travels, and I hope to continue this tradition. I'm always game for a fun conversation and tossing back a cider or two!
