My name is Mélissa, I am from Ottawa Canada. This will be my second time using couch surfing during my travels. Last time i used this site was in 2018 when i was traveling around a few countries in Europe. This time i will be traveling with a friend we are planning on spending 1 month in Hawaii but haven officially decided on the islands or citys we will.visit. My friend's name is Maryane, we have been friends since 2012. We meet while.working at an arial parc. We have traveled together in the past, we did a three week road trip around the maritimes in Canada. We are both very excited for this trip, seeing the beauty of Hawaii and meeting great people.

We both love the outdoors, being around a campfire with good company. We are very excited to do some hiking around Hawaii, and open to suggestions!
Another activity we enjoy is birdding. I am currently at 47 different species observed this year :D

I do have a ear problem (permanent ringing) so i have to sleep with a fan. I have my own travel size fan. It is my travel companion haha but i want you to know in advance because the noise may bother you or other guests and i don't want to cause any problems.

Maryame does not have a couch surfing profile as this will be her first time traveling this way and she would prefer to see how it is before joinning the community but she is very excited to meet and hangout with those we will.meet through the app.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I worked for 6 weeks in a turtle conservation in Costa Rica a few years ago

I lived in one of Canada's national park (Banff) for 6 months, And realised the skiing i was doing back home in Ottawa is all the bunny hill compared to there 🤣

What I Can Share with Hosts
