About Me

I am studying music in Basel and am absolutely in love with it. Meeting people from all over the place, coming together driven by the same passion for the music we play has been a wonderful experiance.

I love to listen to other people’s stories, to share experiences, to learn about different philisophies of life and just generally to get to know other humans from anywhere.

In my everyday life I spend a lot of time making music (mostly music from before 1750 :-)) or hanging out with friends and planning the next project that we want to do together. I love going for walks, spending too many hours reading, doing yoga and practicing meditation, baking cakes and cookies or cooking tasty vegetarian food. I am interested in how to take any steps to lead a more sustainable life and try to be mindful about the things I consume and how I consume them. In writing this, I know that I am quite privileged to be able to enjoy all of these things. I am interested in politics and in social issues because I believe that we still have a long way to go to achieve social justice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To me, couchsurfing makes a lot of sense because it makes it possible to actually meet people when travelling somewhere. To stay in a surrounding that shows one reality of the life in the place one is visiting instead of a ready-prepared hotel experience that is easily replicated in any other place.
