I'm a secondary maths teacher from Canada living in the UK. My husband and I moved to the UK for a fresh start on life and haven't been disappointed. We've travelled more in five years then in our entire lives and have loved every second! We have a huge list of things we want to do and spend our time planning which event we want to tick off next. We both run obstacle mud runs, enjoy cycling and running. We're both book nerds and definitely panic when we don't have the next book lined up! You'll also notice Sealy: he's been traveling with me since I was 3 or 4 and you'll meet him if you stay with me or I with you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We love sharing meals and having company around so thought hosting would be a fantastic way to meet more people. As we love to travel were hoping to make connections that will carry us through to other places and see how families are in other countries.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love The Piano Guys and Simply Three - they do amazing covers to popular songs so it's perfect music to work to. Movies can be summed up by light romantic comedy and animation. There are too many favourite books to list but I love Wilkie Collins' The Woman in White and Carl Sagan's Pale Blue Dot. You can never go wrong with Jules Verne or Arthur Conan Doyle though!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done is to pack my things, get in my first flight ever and move to a new country. I was terrified of what was to come but the excitement of a new beginning was what I wanted and embraced and more then five years in I've loved every second of my choice!

I can teach you maths! And if that's not good enough I can knit (sort of...)!
