Hi! We are Melissa and Juanpa. This was originally Melissa’s account but it is a shared account for both of us now. :)

We are always busy doing something - from very active activities to nerdy ones. We are both spontaneous people who are up for anything all the time (when we have time)!

We have travelled to several countries across five continents together and settled in one (for now).

Both our lives have been challenging but also interesting, we've all done some crazy things and we are very excited to hear your stories too!

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

Mel started couchsurfing in 2014 and she met super amazing people who has opened up her world. We couchsurfed in some countries together and people have also been nothing but kind and genuine to us. We hope to pass this on to travellers who will cross path with our lives.

Interesses

Hiking, playing beach volleyball, climbing, gymming, surfing, swimming, taking care of our plants, watching movies, piecing puzzles, playing board games, cooking, painting, video editing, baking, hanging out with our friends and a bunch of other random stuff.

We really like bringing people together, and we like to invite different people to join our activities.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

We try to make the best out of the experiences we’ve had. We have our individual lives where we do activities on our own or with our friends but we also lived many beautiful moments together. We cliff jumped in Cebu, took 6 vaccinations at one go and went to Africa twice. We lived with the Maasai Tribes and camped in the bushes with them. We saw Northern Lights in Alaska and Southern Lights in New Zealand. We survived 50 degrees heat during Ramadan in Egypt and miraculously spoke Arabic after 50 cups of tea in Wadi Rum, Jordan. We both completed our Master programmes in New Zealand during the pandemic 😐 and somehow found our way to the U.S.

We are not experts in anything that we like to do, but we are happy to introduce you to our lives.

We are both climbers. Mel is obsessed with 🪴 and Juanpa🪘.

We can share our home with you. Mel’s meh 🧑‍🍳 and Juanpa’s 🍻 . You will have the whole room to yourself. We are poor fellas with no extra bed at the moment, but we have sleeping bags or actually feel free to take our 🛋 . It’s really comfy! Oh, you will have your own bathroom.
