ABOUT ME

I am a 28 year old Canadian, just finished living in Egypt for two years and am now beginning a one year contract in Istanbul as an English instructor.

PHILOSOPHY

What I have realized is that I don't have to have anything figured out yet. Just keep learning, open your eyes, and things will become clear eventually.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am happy to meet for coffee or a drink with anyone visiting Istanbul. To be honest I have just moved here and everyday things are still an adventure for me.
I may be able to host you if you are female and staying for a few nights. I love meeting new people and I think this is a great way to do it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed in Israel, Palestine, and Jordan, and have hosted people a few times in Egypt.

Interests

Travel, home reno/decoration, watching movies (especially documentaries), jogging, and despite a lot of my kitchen disasters, cooking :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being doused with water in the Iguazu falls, going on a quest to find the best tartelette aux framboise in Paris (quest still in progress, fyi), walking alongside the separation wall in Bethlehem, witnessing the first days of the Egyptian Revolution.
