My name is Michelle. I love different cultures. I studying political science and public policy at UC Berkeley. I'm graduating in May. I love meeting new people and I know how to speak some other languages.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted several people over the past couple years but due to the high rate of requests I've gotten and most of my hosting experiences being less than mediocre with people not really being appreciative or engaging as guests, I highly discriminate who I reply to.

As of right now, my old apartment burned out and I'm in a new living situation and can't really host guests. Beginning in the summer though, I can be more accommodating since I will move into a more spacious apartment with my boyfriend. I would love to meet new people though who aren't just interested in me for providing them with a roof over their head for free ;)
If you would like a tour and get some food or coffee, you should totally send me a message! This especially applies if you can help me improve with my multilingual skills!!!

When I review requests I look for common interests and what I can gain from hosting. I also like personalized requests. If you actually think that I would be cool with sharing my space with you and if you're not the type to overstay your welcome, it can work out. I don't mean to sound like a bitch, but sharing space is a big deal for me, especially out of gratuity. I expect my guests not to be inhibited assholes.
