Turkish American university student, classically trained piano, radio DJ, and frontwoman of Landing Strip, and I probably haven't stopped reading since I was 5...ask me about any Kubrick movie, Led Zeppelin or Pink Floyd album, the history of trip hop, or why Portlandia and Broad City are comedic gems :P. I am about to embark on my first ever solo-trip to do some thesis research, and am lucky enough to have traveled before with family and friends (though I'm still a bit nervous to be trekkin' solo)!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taught participatory civics to rural Mongolian teens still under the influence of their pro-Communist parents in the middle of nowhere, Mongolia. It was an amazing experience and a beautiful country! I also refined my breakdancing skills, who knew.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Turkish, piano/guitar/bass, about ancient Roman women's cults and modern digital intellectual property laws...

I can both teach and learn more about issues of feminism, gender theory, religious philosophy and spiritualism, hallucinogenic drugs (just kidding! or am I?), surrealist film, politics, and economics

I can always, always learn more about music, DJing, and cooking! Especially cooking!

And I can share my winning sense of humor and charming wit ;)
