Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfed once way back in 2014 and had a great experience but a whirlwind of life, school, and work got in the way soon after and as a result I haven't done much traveling since. But I'm finally getting some time off before starting a new longer term endeavor (medical school in August, fingers crossed!) so I'm looking forward to being a guest again for my European trip in June as well as hopefully hosting some folks in the truly amazing city of Philadelphia.

Music: A little bit of everything - especially guitar music (Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Woods, Ultimate Painting, Whitney, Car Seat Headrest, Girls, The National, Spoon)
...kick-ass female artists (Sharon Van Etten, Mitski, Japanese Breakfast, Angel Olsen, Julien Baker, Wye Oak)
...and local Philly darlings (Kurt Vile, War on Drugs, Dr. Dog, The Districts, Hop Along).
Live music is one of my life's greatest joys.

Movies: Many. Some examples: Edgar Wright for comedies, Wes Anderson for quirks, Miyazaki for every other imaginable situation and mood.

Books: Not going to lie I've mostly been banging my head against MCAT books in recent memory. Last book I started for pleasure but haven't finished yet: Haruki Murakami's 1Q84. But a special place in my heart and mind will forever and always be filled by the Harry Potter universe.

I love National Parks and have been to almost all of them in the U.S. across 50 states.
