About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"Work like you don'€™t need money, love like you've never been hurt, and dance like no one's watching"

ABOUT ME

I'm an open-minded, a little crazy, enthusiastic French girl ! I have two passions: science and music.

Science: I have studied speech and language therapy, cognitive sciences and neuropsychology. I am now on a PhD in Experimental Medicine, where I study the role of motor cortical areas in language comprehension. How exciting ! :)

Music: I'm a jazz singer, and I'm learning drums too ! :) Even though jazz is definitely my favourite, I am open to many kinds of music and can't spend half a day without listening to music !

PHILOSOPHY

I don't believe in fate, destiny or luck.
I believe in opportunities and in seizing them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just joined the community and just started having people crash on my couch :) So far, all my guests have been delightful :)

Interests

Apart from science and music, I love making (and drinking!) cocktails, camping, driving, partying, dressing up, having long walks, long existentialist conversations or just talking about this and that.

Music, Movies, and Books

I adore Johnny Depp movies, Tim Burton's movies, and TMC's Hercule Poirot (I know ! right?!)
Books: love them, especially neuroscience books written by founders of modern neurosciences (they're both scientific and historical !) and French classics, Maupassant being by far my favourite author.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went on a road trip on the Australian west coast in the middle of summer, in January 2010. It was freaking 47°C !! And our van broke down twice, in the middle of absolutely nowhere !! We had to overcome hugh difficulties in hardcore conditions, while given the opportunity to gaze upon some of the most amazing landscapes and fauna I have ever seen. It was an amazing experience; a time when nothing but what's essential remains and you get to know who you truly are.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to make brazilian bracelets :)
and I can show you a good time in town! :)
