Hey kids! I'm a Dutch musician now living in Sweden. I was the ex-frontman of a Dutch electrorock band called "Mannen Met Snorren" and these days I'm playing solo acoustic stuff as Mellie Meteors.

I like creative people and smart people and smart creative people. I'm also very much a people's man!
I am sensitive to the realisation that every person you can think of is living a completely different life, at the same time.

So I guess that means I like meeting new people!

I've used this site on and off over the years and I think the experience has led me to be more hospitable to people I don't know yet, a bit less afraid of the unknown perhaps.

Hope this community will never die out, it's fantastic.

"Taking a boat from South-Korea to Japan comes to mind. Hitchhiking all across Europe was a blast. Running a marathon affected me more than I thought it would. But performing live and helping people get to a state of ecstasy is right there on top with seeing far-away friends abroad. I really love making music."

This was my old text here and I think it's really cute to read, haha.

I think the most amazing thing is learning to speak to people in a different language, meeting many people and talking to people of all walks of life, and as such growing able to see everyone both as an individual and as a link in the chain of society.
