About Me

Update Jan2021:
Part time in Sarajevo and Switzerland

Who am I? I recommend you to check my profile and my +200 references to make you a better picture about me :)

Happy to meet and spend time with respectful and nice people. No matter your gender or origin. We all can learn from each other's perception and cultural backgrounds.

For me, couchsurfing always have been about CULTURAL exchange and respect for each other....

See you may around

more about me and how i have participated below the line....

Just two things for those of you looking for HOSTS around the world:

*COUCHSURFING, IS NOT A FREE BED!! as mentioned many times in forums and magazines....
Those of us who open their doors for you should be faced with a lot of respect. So try to send a proper and nice message when asking if you can stay with them!

I understand that some travel on a very low budget and that's fine, but still with the little you have you can do a lot at your Host place. Cooking a meal, meaning the kitchen or just try to exchange as much as possible with them. They will be happy and grateful:)

Thank you very much!!

CURRENT MISSION:
- playing with my daughter and learn from her!

Personal description:

To summarize... I was working for SWISSAIR (best Airline ever!!) and different Telco companies. For now i am working part time for the Swiss Government respectively under the umbrella of the Swiss Armed Forces.

Between 2008 and NOW i was travelling quite a bit or even living in other countries while i was working there. Few years ago i stranded in Medellin where my Spouse Maria Elena, also mam of our beautiful daughter Samira crossed my way.

Once i was a passionate photographer until my camera broke down. I like to hang out at home, watch movies or cook something together with Maria and our friends. Also sometimes (yes still with around 26 ;)) i like to make party in a good bar or club.

And couple things more.. I may look a bit crazy on my pictures but not worries it is also totally easy to have good conversations with me :)

More about me? You really need to know more about me? Ask for a couch......

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING:

- Since was an active member of Couchsurfing i joined many meetings (in Asia, Europe and South America) and also organized them....the latest Meeting i organized was "New Year Eve 2019 - Merida - Mexico

- Moste CS Activities i joined while i was traveling through Asia. Especially in Thailand, Vietnam, Burma and Indonesia i joined many meetings and also i got hosted many times in this countries.

- While i was back home in Switzerland i started the LMC Zurich (Last Minute Couch) Group (which thanks to CSHQ has no value anymore!!) I was moderating this group for about two years until i went back traveling.

I have hosted people in Israel, Switzerland and Colombia.

During October and November 2012 i was traveling through Switzerland with my girlfriend. Even in my home country i got hosted by many good people - you know why, because i have a well kept profile.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURF EXPERIENCE:

- While i was traveling 2007/2008 thru South East Asia (India, Nepal, China (Tibet), Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Lao, Burma, Indonesia, Singapore, HK, Macau, KL) a travel buddy started talking to me about CouchSurfing. First it sounded a bit strange to me but after i had the first experience in Nha Trang with Mr Sir Nitti i left all my bad cogitations behind me. It was a great and fantastic experience.

PHILOSOPHY OR HOW I TRY TO LIFE!!
Deutsch:
* Gott schenkt dir ein Gesicht, lachen musst du selbst;
* Die Menschen haben gelernt wie Vögel zu fliegen und wie Fische zu schwimmen, aber sie haben nie die einfache Kunst der Brüderlichkeit gelernt.

English:
God gave you a face, you have to laugh at yourself
* Dance like nobody's watching;
* love like you've never been hurt. Sing like nobody's listening;
* live like it's heaven on earth
* People have learned to fly like birds and swim like fish, but they have never learned the simple art of brotherhood. (FOR ME THAT MEANS: we should help each other, if we can! And we always can, in some kind of ways)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TYPES OF PEOPLE I ENJOY!
* Easygoing people with lust for life and adventure.
* Spontaneous people who don't take themselves too seriously, I'll try not to be too serious as well :)
* everybody who can hold interesting conversations about whatever... who are passionate about something in their life and have that little spark in their eye.
In terms of CouchSurfing.......
* I Really like people who take the time to read my profile and fill theirs out.
* If you cannot be bothered to do those two things, why should I go out of my way to host you? ;-)
* I like people who don't do CouchSurfing just because I offer you a free place to stay, coze its maybe saves them a bit of money.
* I like people with flexible travel plans who still let me know when their plans change. Canceling or changing at last min happens. It would just be cool, to know, i can help others in that case.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OPINION ON THE COUCHSURFING.ORG PROJECT
* In my opinion, this project is/WAS so important in this world, where we have so many wars and only bad news on TV - Every time I meet people here,i get the feeling, that there are more good people in the world then it seems to be

* There is one thing I'm not really like: - too many people on CS don't accept or do't understand the philosophy of CS
* PLEASE, CS is not a FREE HOSTEL!! Most important, is sharing the culture!!
