Overview
About Me
Hey! I’m Abu Gasim, an adventurous traveler, photographer, and social media creator. I was born in Iraq but currently live in Germany—though most of the time, I’m on the road, exploring new cultures, taking on challenges, and sharing my experiences with the world.
I love seeing the world from unusual perspectives. One example? I cycled from Germany all the way to Iraq—with just my tent, my camera, and a thirst for adventure. Along the way, I had incredible encounters with people who showed me true hospitality. One time, a stranger invited me into his home so I could shower, eat, and rest after days on the road. Moments like these have taught me that traveling isn’t just about places—it’s about people and their stories.
Why Couchsurfing?
I prefer staying with locals rather than in hotels. For me, traveling isn’t just about visiting a country—it’s about truly experiencing it through its people, food, and culture. I love sharing stories and learning from others along the way.
What I Bring:
– Experience in photography, videography, and social media
– Fluency in four languages: Arabic (native), German, English, and Turkish
– A passion for cooking—especially rice dishes with vegetables or meat
– Tons of travel stories and an open, adventurous spirit
If you’re up for exchanging perspectives on travel, I’d love to meet you!
