I was born in Kampong Cham province, Cambodia, where bordered to Vietnam. I moved to live and educated my bachelor degree in the capital city of Cambodia, Phnom Penh. I am currently doing my PhD degree in civil engineering at one of the university in the northeast of Thailand. I win a short-term grant (6 months) to conduct a research at TU Wien, Austria. I am planning to finish my doctoral degree in the mid of the year 2017.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I have never travelled thousand miles far from home though I always have a daydream to travel around the world. As a man who lives in the low income country, unfortunately, it hard for me to afford to travel even to neighbouring countries. However, I never ever quit my dream, I have tried all my best to find the way out. I came up an idea that winning the scholarship to study oversea is the only best choice to make my dream come true. Finally, I got a grant to study a Master-PhD program in Thailand. Luckily, I have more chances to travel to another countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea in the purpose of conference and other short-term training program under my PhD study program. This is just a small piece of my achievement and I want to go so far from this, especially visit european countries. I realised that this is a stupid idea, yet an old cliche said, "You can go as far as you dream, think and imagine". Then, I spent almost my free times on seeking another grant from european countries for a short-term research or visit. This dream comes true once I win a grant to visit Vienna University of Technology in Austria and currently I am undertaking my research as well as prepare manuscript for my PhD dissertation. I am planning to finish my doctoral degree when I go back to Thailand in April 2017.

My dream to travel around the world seems to be appeared now. So, I googled for tons of information about how to have a solo trip around european countries with a small budget. And I found Couchsurfing, which recommended by most travellers. I do hope to meet the hosts, who are very generous people and let me stay for free. I am just looking to meet new people, trying a new cooking, and walking with local people.

I know this trip seems hard, but it will come true once I meet the generous and kind host.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I have no talent in music and art, but it sees wired, I do love to listening musics, watching movies, TV series, and podcasts. I also love to play music instruments, especially guitar. I have two guitars, one is classic and another is acoustic.

All kind of emotional intelligent and self-improved books are my favourite books. I don't like to read a story book, but I love watching those in movie.
