ABOUT ME

I am hopelessly silly. I love cats. I spent two semesters in Italy and traveled after each, but didn't learn about couch surfing until the end of my time in Europe. I am the second oldest of four and my family is kind of tight-knit. Two of my passions are creating art and studying art history, though I'm not at all talented at the former and not particularly gifted at the later! I tend to collect all kinds of pointless little things. I have tons of friends, but only a few really good friends. I love hearing stories about different places and people. I tend to be quite shy and quiet when I first meet people, but if you give me time, soon I will be telling you all about my music obsession and my crazy family!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live with my family, so I can't host people, but I love Cape Cod and I would love to meet up with a couch surfer and show them around my (man-made) island home! Or just meet for a coffee or something. I work at Borders, so I could get a discount on coffee and snacks!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friend and I tried couchsurfing in Greece and had the time of our lives! Our hosts were fantastic and very kind and generous. They took us to a beautiful old church made of a cave and also to some fantastic ruins.

I love fantasy books, but I will read anything that can hold my interest. I can't watch scary movies, so I stick to comedies, cartoons and anything light-hearted. As for music, I will listen to anything except rap and techno. My favorites and indie, punk, oldies, and the Beatles.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I had a complete stranger lend me 50 Euros for a Taxi ride (which I used to get to the airport to fly home for Christmas) with the agreement that I would send him the money later (which I did of course). It was a beautiful display of faith in another person.

I know how to play the flute and the harp, I am pretty good on a potter's wheel, and if I had the right tools I could show people how to solder, but sadly I don't. But I want to learn everything!!! Any and all talents are appreciated here.
